Alex Baugh of Crazy Carls release “Owl Tattoo” EP

laex_w_car300.jpgThe Crazy Carls are a wild bunch and I can hardly wait to talk with the founder, Alex Baugh, and see them live. Alex explores pop rock with original personality and great songwriting. Baugh is both a tremendous performer and versatile artist whose songs flow with manic  energy and raw feeling. The band’s latest CD, “Owl Tattoo” features pop songs with a dynamic range, intense guitar solos, falsetto vocals and soul searching lyrics from real life experiences.

The Crazy Carls span many music genres from reggae to funk to rock. Their music defies labeling because their sound is always fresh  and different – they keep spinning new tunes, new arrangements, new ideas. The new CD  can be dance music with energy tracks like “Celebrity” and “Red Lipstick”, and like “Leave Me Tonight” and “Fire In the Hole” that rock music along with intimate lyrics for grooving at the beach.

The Crazy Carls’ indie – almost smells like teen - spirit turns on fans who know each of the band members are notorious for intense performances – which is why each player has a base of loyal fans. They have headlined venues throughout Florida and the Southeast and we get to talk with Alex about it on Music FridayLive!
